  • THIEN + HENRY

When Thien approached us to shoot her wedding day with her new husband to be Henry we had to politely decline with us being completely booked up but Thien being our kinda gal just wouldn't take 'no' for an answer and so instead arranged for us to shoot their bridal session with us to celebrate the beginning of their marriage as Mr & Mrs which actually worked out for the better as by the sounds of it their wedding day schedule seemed jam packed and our session was more chilled out and relaxed. What also took us by surprise was that Thien informed us that her and Henry had a similar relationship to ours as they too were an 'international couple' a couple once separated by the Atlantic ocean as Henry was from good ol' Utah and with Thien residing in Birmingham, England. They met whilst Henry was visiting the UK for vacation and now they're married, together at last - no longer separated by distance =) We especially empathised with their stories of distance and the hard times of long distance relationships as it's definitely not for everyone, it was just nice to know we were in the same boat as them and seeing them so happy and the fun they had on the shoot, it's evident that all the hard ships are just worth it because love and faith are those strongest of all =) *sigh* Don't you just love happy endings =)

  • Jackie's Flowers Old Town Elk Grove

I can foresee enormous wedding planning in mine and my fiancé Stephen's near future... things can most likely easily turn hectic and a bit of a whirlwind but we have nothing but excitement for the year ahead and we can't wait to be married. We paid a special visit to a dear family friend Jackie who owns the most beautiful and unique flower shop I've ever laid my eyes on. Jackie's flowers is in Stephen's hometown Elk Grove and wandering into her little American house in Old Town was like stepping into a vintage little treasure wonderland for me, Jackie and I poured over all my ideas and we really hit it off which I couldn't ask for more, we're planning to visit fantastic vintage thrift markets together on my next visit and i cannot wait!! =) I LOVE love Love Jackie's Flowers! xoxo

  • Mai + Marlowe | Westminster Cathedral, London

Congrats to Mai & Marlowe Macadangdang!

Shooting this beautiful Filipino/Chinese Catholic ceremony at the breathtaking beautiful Westminster Cathedral is truly surreal for me. There are so many memorable moments to this special day that it's best to let the pictures speak for themselves. But from the beautiful cathedral, the amazing talented performances, the losing&finding of the wedding ring to the cutting of Marlowe's hair tail that he's had since he was 16! all contributed to what made this day so unique and so special; significantly representing the new life and new journey that Mai and Marlowe are about to embark on together. xoxo Enjoy!

  • MEERA + TIM

After being married earlier this year in Goa, India - the newlyweds returned to the UK and we had the pleasure of shooting them in and around the city of Chester (my beloved home town) on a gorgeous Spring afternoon.

With Spring significantly representing all things new, growth and beauty, I don't think there could have been a more perfect time than this to shoot Meera and Tim, with the trees bustling, the flowers blossoming around us really complimented the colours of Meera's beautiful sari and the Traditional Indian wedding outfits. We had so much fun on this shoot with Meera and Tim, their outfits were absolutely gorgeous and you can't help but have a real appreciation for the intricate beading and sequins that all seemed to catch the light at all the perfect times! It was so refreshing and awesome to see that even though Meera and Tim came from different cultures, they were so in tune with one another, it was evident that they both have a deeper respect and understanding into each others' background and culture yet ultimately coming together as one. =)

Shooting Meera was probably the easiest thing to do, this girl, you cannot get a bad angle and don't get us started on her dazzling hypnotic eyes - we told her that when we look into her eyes, we can't help but fall in love with her! but it's so true! She just laughs it off but probably the most beautiful thing about Meera is that she's so genuine and so modestly beautiful. Tim, you're one heck of a lucky guy! lol I'm sure he knows it too, i think Tim spent the entire day being directed by us to stare at Meera! lol Thanks guys for an awesome shoot!

Well the rest of you please enjoy and I'd love to hear your comments!

    xoxo

Meera looked just as stunning in her Chinese 'Cheung-Sam' Dress!
